Just a simple update

Well, this is getting old now. It has been long enough! I think that once the pain subsides the sitting around in a cast thing will be easier to deal with. But for now, every time I move it brings on a new wave of pain. And it is so hard to be perfectly still all day long. So hard...

Because of the need to be immobile, planning, writing, reading, and even thinking seem too demanding. My daughter just asked me to be working on something. I vetoed the suggestion until the day comes when the pain has diminished. For now, I must concentrate on not being overwhelmed by the sensations. It does require focus, you know. Kind of like that childbirth class stuff, remember?

So, a brief post to keep you all praying (rather selfish of me, eh?!) I do covet your requests to the Father right about now!

Ugh! Dealing with constant pain is no fun. I have only been the mom to one who has been in your situation and it was hard enough. I'm praying you find physical comfort soon. Any ideas on when the pain should diminish?

Kara thinks you may be a bit too optimistic. She thinks it will be about a week before you get much pain relief. We'll just continue to pray!!!

Hi Darlene! I haven't been in the blogworld in about a month, so I've just read about your torn tendon! I'm so sorry for your pain, but you're right, God will so use even this in His mighty ways! You are a blessing, even in trials. I hope you guys had a very Merry Christmas!
Love you!

I'm thinking you or some close to you prayed that the Lord would give your rest. You know how HE is with that whole mysterious ways thing. Love you and praying, see you soon.

I will keep praying. I keenly remember surgery pain from just two months ago, but I know that you're pain is much worse than mine was. Your surgery was much more involved, yet the Lord can bring a quick recovery for you too. Le me know if there are any ways that I can help!
